The AsoAmazonas Family: Community & Craft

AsoAmazonas is much more than a coffee producer; it is a deeply dedicated family association driven by passion, precision, and community. Led by Andrea and Fabio, the association works hand-in-hand with their extended family, neighbours, and smallholder farmers from the surrounding Huaticocha region.

In total, 40 local families contribute to this extraordinary community lot. Together, they share a unified vision: to produce world-class Ecuadorian speciality coffee while uplifting their local community and supporting one another through shared agricultural knowledge.

Protecting the Amazon Ecosystem

Great coffee must not cost the earth, and the AsoAmazonas team takes their environmental responsibility incredibly seriously. The core mission of the association is to fiercely protect the diverse, fragile ecosystem of the Amazon and actively halt deforestation in the region.

By cultivating shade-grown fine Robusta in harmony with the native forest canopy, these 40 families are proving that highly sustainable, environmentally conscious agriculture can thrive alongside exceptional cup quality. Every bag of this coffee directly supports their ongoing conservation efforts.

Award-Winning Quality & Innovation

What truly elevates this fine Robusta above the rest is the uncompromising dedication to post-harvest innovation.

  • Expert Curation: Andrea is a certified Q-R Grader—the highest and most rigorous sensory qualification available for Robusta coffee. This brings an unparalleled level of precision, quality control, and tasting expertise to every single harvest.
  • Innovative Processing: With a deep passion for exploring new post-harvest techniques, Andrea and her team meticulously developed the anaerobic process used for this specific lot, carefully controlling fermentation to unlock its complex, wine-like sweetness.
  • Consistently Elite: Thanks to this incredible hard work and attention to detail, AsoAmazonas consistently ranks in the top five of the best fine Robustas produced in all of Ecuador.
